Kroger Fuels Our Summer! Come #FuelYourSummer

This is a sponsored post , we received compensation. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

We have places to go, people to see, activities to check off our list.  Definitively this is a very busy summer!  Are you ready to #FuelYourSummer?
It seems that what is filling out schedule to the most is play dates at the beach.  Ahhh, just what we wanted: to become happy beach bums :-)
For all the sand castle building and people burying, our list of beach munching necessities are pretty basic:
Water
Carrots
Watermelon
Grapes
Chips
Cookies
Sun screen

Sometimes as we fill our list, a toy or two gets in the way, but it all adds up in Kroger points.  These are important to have because you can redeem them for great items to help you save.

To make it all easier on our budget, we are taking full advantage of Kroger’s fuel program and 2X fuel point weekends,  The program started on May 20, this year, just in time for the kids demanding vacation agendas.
It is a very simple program: for every $1 spent on qualifying items at Kroger  you earn  1 fuel point. To help you fuel your summer Kroger is offering a digital coupon that will double shoppers fuel points earned when shopping at Kroger on weekends, meaning every $1 spend on the weekends equals 2 fuel points. For all details on the program, visit this link . This program is valid until the end of July 2013!

Kroger shoppers have been able to save up to $1 per gallon at the pump by redeeming up to 1,000 Fuel Points at any Kroger Fuel Center, and at participating stations.  Now that is a great complement to all the savings opportunities available everyday just for shopping at Kroger.
and how that can fuel your summer!

Now that food, itineraries and fuel are in order, here is the list of activities we recommend enjoying at those beach play dates:

Beach art: so besides becoming great architects of sand castles ( by the way, use only a little water to be able to build anything with sand), you can encourage little ones to express themselves drawing on the sand.  Embellishments can easily be found using shells or sticks.

I spy for critters: be on the look out for little crabs, birds, insects or even jelly fish.  Just be careful with them, you don't want them stinging you!

Collect shells:  you shell hunting!  You can determine a specific color of shape to be on the look out for.

Get some exercise done: if we go late afternoon to the beach, we love our little yoga routine, but if you are full of energy, chase each other, throw a Frisbee or swim

Go green:  a great opportunity to teach the little ones about conserving our planet by cleaning up plastic bottles or trash.
