Help Domestic Violence Victims - Pass the Purple Purse!

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Latina Bloggers Connect and The Allstate Foundation.

October is an important month for women awareness.
I recently discovered in this Halloween month there are many out there working hard to get the word out on Domestic Violence.  This unfortunate situation can happen to both men and women, but AllState foundation has chosen to support women going through this very rough situation by passing on the Purple Purse.  It is staggering to think that one in four women is or has been affected by  domestic violence in their lifetime - that is more than breast, ovarian and lung cancer combined.  As with most emotional and physical situations, individuals in an unfortunate predicament as domestic violence do not talk about it.  The idea of this campaign is to find a way have people open up about it to find a way out giving those affected a purple purse.
This symbolic but powerful purse aims at giving women in domestic violence situations a chance to stop and get out of the cycle by gaining financial independence.   The purple purse really is a conversation started that can address the fact that Lacking financial knowledge and resources is the number one indicator of whether a domestic violence victim will stay, leave or return to an abusive relationship.

To join in the efforts of the AllState Foundation Taking action against domestic violence is simple - Purple Purse: Pass It On.
It is important because  For every purple purse passed through the end of October, The Allstate Foundation will donate $5 to YWCA. We’ll give up to $350,000 for programs aimed to help domestic violence survivors and stop the cycle of abuse.
Wow, this is big, consider that 1,300 purple purses filled with domestic violence information and facts will be distributed throughout the U.S. Each purse has a goal of being passed between family, friends, community leaders, celebrities, media, and Allstate employees and agents sparking important
conversations and raising awareness.
Ther result is that the Allstate Foundation will donate $5 each time a purse is passed and checked-in at PurplePurse.com.
Yes, there are real purses being passed around, but we can multiply this effect.
Fear not, if you don’t get your hands on one of the purple purses that are being passed around
the country, you can still help by logging onto Facebook.com/PurplePurse and sharing a virtual
purple purse.

Come on, let's do it together,  I am passing the purple purse to you because Every time someone clicks on the purse link below and passes the purse by entering the code on the card into www.purplepurse.com or www.bolsomorado.com, a $5 donation will be triggered from Allstate Foundation to the YWCA for programs that support victims of domestic violence and build financial empowerment.
Let's do it!
