After we watched and enjoyed our first Monster High movie, we were on the look out for the next installment. Lucky for us we received the DVD and a doll for review. Of course the girls were all geared up for our cool monsters movie viewing which would have them watching the “ghouls” embark on a monstrous mystery, when they are shipwrecked during Spring Break, in Escape from Skull Shores – then watch as they pull together the student bodies to save their beloved school in Fright On!
It’s time to “fang out” with your favorite ghoulfriends in this frightfully fabulous double feature, straight from the latest scare-mester at Monster High™! Everyone’s ready for some monstrous fun in the sun during Spring Break in Escape from Skull Shores. But when they find themselves shipwrecked on a totally strange island, Frankie Stein™ is taken by a mysterious Beast… who may just need a little rescuing of his own! Then it’s time to pull together all the student bodies when a meddling normie tries to drive a stake into the imperfectly perfect harmony of Monster High™ in Fright On! It’s up to Frankie Stein™, Clawdeen Wolf™, Draculaura™ and their fangtastic friends to prove that the culture clash of Fur and Fang is no longer an issue for this scary-cool student body! Like last time our girls and tweens were head over heals on both features The first one took the girls to Australia. The Great Barrier Reef is the setting where the Ghouls meet Andy. From a parent standpoint I loved how they came to include and accept Andy, a misunderstood monster. Yes, our girls are now all making their summer vacation list for next year and the only thing on it is sailing around the Great Barrier Reef. They are planning bake sales to fund their trip. Love how the movie got them dreaming and in strategy mode to make their plans come to life! that was Escape from Skull Shores Fright On! did not disappoint one bit. On this feature, the gang needs to overcome their differences and work together to put and end to an underlying fight that is happening on campus. Again fashion, accessories and hair gave the girls tons of inspiration and they all claimed they faves.
There is consistency from the first movie we saw and these two in that it deals with the lives of kids in school, what goes on, the fights, the jealousies, and the teamwork that can be achieved. Summer twist for these I believe, still holds true to the peer activities that do happen at school in a fun way. Have you ever watched these movies?
