We have been looking high and low for a change of pace from baby music. We are keen on having our babies appreicate, enjoy and overall love music. While pregnant I would play classica music all day, and now that the bundles of joy are here, we have been looking for ways to integrate music in their lives. Adorable and traditional are the lullabies we use to put them to bed, and then all day long toys have their own music which is a good learning process to hear the ABCs. After a few months of all versions of the ABC or Twinkle Twinkle, we were ready to start sharing our own music, but kept feeling our music would be a bit much for our little angels.

The Joy of Wine Shopping

One tradition I specially enjoy during the holiday season is the chance to see my favorite girls when we get together to bake cookies that we deliver to the children's ward at one of our South Florida Hospitals. During this event, more than the cookie making, what I look forward to is our Champagne tasting. Every one has to bring a great Champagne find to share and sample. After a few years of doing this, we kept getting the same bottles, and to spice up our tasting I decided to find something special. This year, I came across a fantastic wine website called Serenata Wines. This is a wine drinker's paradise!!

I was impressed not only by the Champagne page. I was lost for hours dreaming of tasting many of the wines they have to offer. It became an education because although I love a good Malbec or a Carmenere, I had no idea these were classified as "New World Wines".

Buying wine can be intimidating, but not at Serenata Wines. Right at the homepage you have different ways of selecting your wine. You can do it either by type of wine, origin, style or grape. In addition to this, there is a section that lists the top 10 categories for you. Not enough? You can choose a wine based on their best seller list, their Christmas wine recommendations or by looking at the special offers available. At the bottom of the page you can decide if you want to look into wine categories.

I took advantage of their Food and Wine section to decide what type of wine I will be getting soon for a special Pad Thai I have in mind (yes, they have and Asian and Wine section right under the Pasta and Wine chapter!).

Although I haven't finalized my purchase yet (too many wines sitting on my shopping cart right now! got to sort this one out a bit) I am impressed by the customer service offered here: you can have them call you, finding a way to email them is easy and simple. Megabloks Keeps Impressing at Mommy Parties!

We held our second MommyParty this weekend, and just like the first one, we were blown away with the organization, generosity and of course the super MegaBloks items we were fortunate to review. After our first party, honestly, I felt any other party I would host was going to be hard to beat, and so far it has been the case, until we had our second MegaBloks party!

This time the party featured adorable buildable friends for each of our little guests. This new friends are too cute and truly work on children’s creativity to convert the blocks into actual animals. The sets we received had jungle and garden friends so we had a great mix! The toys and the palyers are for kids aged 1 +

Paired to the buildable friends, the party kit include a large Tubtown farm, and that was way too much fun for children and adults alike! Because we did have a great range of animals covered in this party, we held half the party in the backyard under the wonderful South Florida weater to discover our jungle and garden friends. Then we moved in to keep playing with our friends and to play with the Tubtown farm. All around it was simply great. Not only great for the motor skill building, but also to talk about the different types of animals and their surroundings. So, with that in mind, we had prepared in advance animal books, and we had an animal channel running nn the background.

As you probably can imagine, part of the fun is also destroying and knocking down the creations, so when the children created their own version of the farm, soon after it was time to take it down!!! What caught my eye was when moms at the party sat together to re-build the farm, and I must say it was the quietest time of the party having moms and kids concentrating on their building! The mom’s version of the farm was less creative that the kid’s version, but still, a great version too :-).

Fosters imagination and creativity
Hands down, a lot of fun to play with.

Therefore, just as we did last time, we all agreed to use the coupons to get Megabloks items for underprivileged children, so I couldn’t be happier to go shopping on behalf of my guests, plus the fact that we know we will be giving children in need a valuable, educational, and safe product that will bring them joy time and time again. Truth be told, I will be getting a few more of these and other great Megabloks products for kids on my Christmas list!

We recently received Drink Docker, and set out to test it.
First, let us tell you what we discovered what it was:

We thought this was particularly good as everything keeps dry and your fingers don't get slippery so you have more control over the drink, specially while driving or trying to juggle kids, strollers, diaper bags and toys all at the same time. The docker does a really good job of holding the cup or bottle, even the soft cups and bottles are protected and spills cease to exist One more thing is that it is also really easy to insert and remove the cup. Back in February a some of our reader Cool Moms went with us to the advance screening of Disney’s animated film Mars Needs Moms, a film about 9-year old Milo and his daring rescue mission to save his mom from Martians. He sets out on an adventure to bring her back home to earth after she’s kidnapped by Martians seeking mothers for their own planet. He joins forces with Gribble, a tech-savvy earthman, and Ki, a rebel Martian girl, to find his mother, even if he has to stow away on a spaceship, take on an entire alien nation, or worst of all, eat his broccoli. This comedy adventure involves stowing away on a spaceship, navigating an elaborate, multi-level planet and taking on the alien nation and their leader (Mindy Sterling). With the help of a tech-savvy, underground earthman named Gribble (Dan Fogler) and a rebel Martian girl called Ki (Elisabeth Harnois), Milo just might find his way back to his mom—in more ways than one.

• To protect ears, eyes, face, and back of your neck, try wearing a hats with a brim are. Don’t forget your sunglasses. Make sure they help to block 99% to 100% of UVA and UVB radiation so be sure to read the label.

• While traveling in the car, keep in mind that different suns rays can pass through the windshield and windows of your car, so it is important to wear sunscreen in the car too.
• Runners, swimmers, cyclists, walkers, and for anyone who plans to be outside should always try to wear sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher. Don’t forget to reapply your sunscreen frequently, especially if you are in the water or sweat a lot.

Happy Mother's Day! The Cool Mom Joy

One of our readers used to be single, out partying, living life on the edge, traveling the world, dabbing in luxury and very happy about her beauty sleep. After a wonderful romance that started in her second visit to Tahiti, she discovered she was pregnant. Without hesitation, Adriana became a proud single mother to a healthy baby girl. Perfect she thought, I will make her stylish and fashionable in no time. She will conquer the world with me, and I will show her the ways of posh.

As their life together developed, our world traveler became a diaper "miles" queen, changed the plane and her sporty drive for a comfortable SUV full of safety features.

Lavishness developed a new meaning: invaluable hours of sleep.

In honor of Mother's day, we are singling Adriana out because despite the changes in her life, she is still extremely cool, definitively in the know and always thinking of fabulous ways to give her little one the best she can in the most rounded way.

This Cool Mom is focused not only in offering the best of her and her world to her daughter, but also very driven to make a great citizen of the world out of her baby girl in terms of the participation and what she can give the planet and her fellow humanoids.

For this, we give her extra kudos.

Any mom will tell you happiness is her children, and although a big fat ever changing responsibility there is greater than being a Mom. Moms that have been moms for a while love going over the memories.

If you ask our Cool Mom about the changes in her life since becoming a mother, a big smile brightens her face, and she shares wisely that just like the rapid changes she experiments with her growing daughter, life for all of us is about changes that challenge us positively and make us better people.

Today, ways of posh are not a priority for her or her precious child as we relate to it. Luxury for Adriana, is instilling solid values for the future while savoring every moment of her new mothering journey. Her indulging really comes from going over and over the photo album she made herself about her life with baby at Shutterfly. She is now working photo gifts for her friends to remind us to savor the moment and enjoy the memories.

She still gets out the little cocktail dress and sexy high (very high) heels, she is determined to maintain her identity, and doing the things she loves (going out with her friends, exercising and traveling) all the while being a mother. A little tired, sleep deprived and without time to do all the things /traveling Adriana would like to, she admits her joy today is getting the most amorous kisses from a tiny one and being able to adore her back limitlessly.

For her first Mother’s day celebration as one, Adriana is getting ready party invitations for an event we are sure will keep us talking for years!

Happy mother’s day to all Cool Moms out there!

A Slimming Secret Out of the Bag that Erases Pounds!

Ever since baby, I have been battling extra pounds. Seems like nothing I try works or motivates me enough to keel me on track and reach my goals. I know, I know, no pain, no gain, but I just find myself living the mom’s life: juggling, running, cooking, cleaning, teaching, playing, working…..exhausted with basically no time to spare.

I have changed my eating habits, but somehow anxiety gets the best of me and I always run to my uncontrolled chocolate addition.

One day at a coffee shop as the good angel and the little devil made their case to me as to why I should (or not) eat an overgrown slice of cake, I saw a familiar lady stride in full of confidence, smiling and looking my way. It turned out to be my dear overweight friend in her new skinny body.

She introduced me to Paiyouji, her slimming secret.

It is a powder you drink every morning mixed in with your coffee/ tea/ juice or water. After interviewing her about it, this is the conclusion: it cuts out the “ out of meal time” eating needs. Meadowmere Inn in the Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, Wonderful Every Season & Worth Repeating!

Recently, I had the best getaway I‘ve had in my life!
Somehow I felt like if I wrote about it I would break its spell, but this can’t be kept a secret!

The world constantly revolving around the sun delivers the beauty of seasonal changes. Fall was upon us and it become an incredible nature show in the Northern most part of the hemisphere. Yes, we really have kept this for ourselves, but now now that this little destination is absolutely fabulous all year round.

Well, we took a trip to Ogunquit, Maine to and unforgettable and breathtaking time off. They really nailed it when they the natives named it “A beautiful place by the sea”

OK so, if you have the pleasure of experiencing natures’ fall colors and life, what I am talking about is not going to make much of a difference, but I guarantee Ogunquit and the Meadowmere Resort will! Ogunquit and Meadowmere Resort have made such a deep and positive impression upon us that we keep checking in their websites to daydream from afar. We have to admit, we would love to enjoy a little snow with them!

Ogunquit is an adorable awe-inspiring town, an hour north of Boston, whose crime rates show that in 2009 only 2 offenders were reported for disorderly conduct. That was one of the most menacing violators of the police report…

Charming and inviting, Ogunquit is home to Meadowmere Resort which decisively contributes to seal the deal on making this town and idyllic and perfect place in a luxurious pampering way.

Even before getting to the Meadowmere Resort, the superb customer service helping a frantic client find the right room at a practically sold out weekend was phenomenal. They truly went far and beyond the call of duty in the most courteous and understanding way. There are no words to express our gratitude for their professionalism and willingness to take so many extra steps for us without having a reservation from us in place.

We drove excitedly to our destination resort. As we did, right before the GPS told us we were about to arrive, we passed by the most gorgeous two story building that just felt perfect to me. I did comment how I wished that would have been our hotel. A half a block later we arrived.

The entrance at the Meadowmere was magnificently decorated with the Halloween spirit and I was taken aback by the liberal use of pumpkins all over! It was simply a stimulating visual reception that was matched by a genuine, professional and warm welcome to the Meadowemere Resort. Giddy with excitement to finally be there, got the instructions to our room and to my delight it was just the building I had wished for!

Now, the room was incredibly spacious, tastefully decorated and propped with all the plates, cups, lobster eating utensils and wine openers you can possibly need away from home. The beds are sooo comfortable we took down the mattress information to have the same experience at home. Closets and storage areas are roomy, and my personal favorite: the room has a double glass door which allows you to look out your room, if you are interested.

The amenities in the bathroom were little Swedish luxuries bottles full of pampering.

Besides the glory of our little room in paradise, the Meadowmere has an extensive list of facilities and services that guests can benefit from:

Pool (heated for the sun birds from the tropics)
Fitness Spa
Roman bath
Spa
Tanning services
Salon services

In the end, the combination of great experienced hoteliers, outstanding service, attention to detail, and their ability to take your vacation experience to a high level of comfort is way up there.

Better yet, it does not stop here, as the Meadowmere Resort is the re-known for their concern for the environment. They are at the forefront, and are Ogunquit's first Certified Maine Environmental Leader Hotel.

We can’t say enough about this resort, and it feels like everything we can say just falls short. I must admit I felt like hugging in gratitude every staff member we came across. They all indisputably strive to exceed your every expectation effortlessly.

My bucket list now includes an annual visit to the Meadowmere, can’t wait to get to work on that list!!!

The best place for our shopping is believe it or not BJ’s. We always find our favorite brands at great prices, and pack in bulk so that means we spend less time at the stores and more enjoying our family.

Don’t get me wrong, I love going to BJ’s, there is always something new to discover, lost to sample and try, plus everything you can imagine from food to appliances, books, clothes and lots more.

Mega Block is Lots of Mega Fun!

We were very happy about it, and were looking forward to getting our package. When we got our party pack, we were sure to have an amazing party and couldn’t wait to get It on!!!!

A true educational toy that delivers hours of fun that grows with the children as they move on to higher learning stages. My favorite feature is the education component disguised as good ole fun!

We invited 10 kids (1 to 4 years old), and it was priceless to see the faces of the kids AND moms when they say the toys.
No one expected that a block party would consist of such a unique way to store and present blocks.

Each child got an adorable car, truck, bus or boat that contained blocks. This was the first eye- opener as we all thought of Mega bloks as a maker of plain blocks for kids. Well they do, but this twist was unexpected. A Wow Moment.

These toys are not only adorable, but also instrumental in guiding a child’s imagination during play. Getting to the blocks takes some disassembly that helps kids with their motor and analytical skills.

We had designed a track for the kids to roll their super Mega bloks vehicles on, had a small plastic pool for the boats and a pile of sand for the tractor and dump trucks we received. The course was a hit! And the sand was also used by the children to mold and create with the blocks themselves

As the children discovered and enjoyed their new Mega bloks toys, the moms took time to discover the company’s product line. Good thing we were given discount coupons because parents were already working on serious Christmas shopping from the catalogues!

Our Mega bloks 2010 catalogue discovery was interrupted by squeals of joy when my husband uncovered the Play'n Go Table. Moms all agreed that this table is way cool. It folds neatly and fits easily under a bed or behind a door. It is a no-brainer to set up for play, and also loads of entertainment. We had a good session around the table, but after a few minutes some decided it was time to go back to their cars, boats or buses.

What stood out for the parents after a good 2 hours of non-stop fun with Mega bloks, in addition to what we have already pointed out was:

-blocks are big enough that there is no chocking hazard

-they are resistant, sturdy and seem durable (yes some kiddos were really testing the blocks)

-easy to clean

-high quality
-innovative (blocks offered in a different way, not just a bunch of blocks)
-appealing and vibrant toys (kids will want to go to them over and over again).

Breaking Thanksgiving Cooking Traditions

Like I did for my Cinco de Mayo celebration this year, for Thanksgiving, I have a great ally on my side, a secret weapon that will make me shine as a chef, and leave my eating guests more than happy!!!

My new best cooking partner Kikko as I like to call it. Kikko has opened my eyes to an incredible culinary experience, one that I have never thought I would have with Kikkoman products. Not only am I being educated on their wide product line, I can attest to great results that enable you to prepare amazing dishes, Asian inspired or not. I used to think that Kikkoman was strictly for Asian cuisine, and from my last review on them, you know how mistaken I was (click here for that review).

So, this year my turkey dinner is breaking with some tradition in the preparation. I am using, you guessed it, Kikkoman to make a Savory Turkey Brine.

Of course, I had to give it a test drive.

The outcome is that this will now become my new tradition.

It will become a standard at home.

It is so easy to do and the taste of the turkey is just so sensational, there is no going back. This is one recipe that guarantees me an exquisite, perfect, sure to please all palates turkey!

Just thinking of it makes me go make some more. Can’t wait to eat it again!

Here is the recipe (taken from their website http://www.kikkomanusa.com/homecooks/):
Ingredients for a 16-24 lb turkey
o 2 gallons of cold water
o 10 ounces of Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce
o ½ cup kosher salt
o ½ cup sugar
o 2 tablespoons dried sage
o 2 tablespoons dried celery seeds

o 1 tablespoon dried thyme

The night before roasting, remove giblets and turkey neck; rinse turkey inside and out. In large stock pot or 5 gallon bucket mix water with remaining ingredients. Stir well until all the salt is dissolver. Place turkey in the pot and cover with lid. Refrigerate overnight or at least 8 hours. Remove turkey from the brine, rinse well. Then follow your regular cooking instructions.

The holiday spell really begins for us with Halloween, but that might be too early for most families. Regardless what our start dates are or what we individually celebrate, we are all headed to the festive path with Thanksgiving around the corner.

Just in time for some family activities during the start of the rushed and busy holiday season Tangled, the 50th animated film of Disney will be in theaters on November 24th.

The film is one of the most hilarious, hair-raising tales ever told, about Rapunzel (voice of MANDY MOORE), a feisty tower-bound teen girl with 70 feet of magical, golden hair who breaks free from her tower to with the help of Flynn Ryder he kingdom’s most wanted—and most charming—bandit (voice of ZACHARY LEVI)

The unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, to explore the world in an adventure complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs. All while Rapunzel embraces her newfound independence.

Tangled is a wonderful contemporary spin on a well loved story. It’s a fun film, perfect for the entire. The theme of independence and gaining confidence through trying new things is central to the film, something that as parents we find ourselves encouraging our children to do and learn. After all discovery and traveling are powerful educational tools that make learning fun and easier. Rapunzel does serve as a magnificent strong role model. Additionally, the film has a something for everyone: action, comedy, singing, heart and of course, 70 feet of hair!

Preparing for our holiday cards is probably the only thing we don’t procrastinate on. When time comes to it, we always end up with designs we don’t like, and of course never have the picture we want for it.

Life As We Know It and Safe2go: Great Combination!

Did you already go watch Life As We Know It? As we have told you, it is a romantic comedy where

Holly Berenson is an up-and-coming caterer and Eric Messer (Josh Duhamel) is a promising network sports director. After a disastrous first date, the only thing they have in common is their dislike for each other and their love for their goddaughter, Sophie.

But when they suddenly become all Sophie has in the world, Holly and Messer are forced to put their differences aside. Juggling career ambitions and competing social calendars, they'll have to find some common ground while living under one roof.

I enjoyed the movie and loved how easy it was to watch despite the heavy background story line. Quite frankly after reading the description, it is at face value, a chick flick. This being said, it is a great movie to watch with your girlfriends AND men in your life. It is not sappy. As a matter of fact my neighbor moviegoer was a man who bursted with laughter at every comedic instance. There were many, and very well played out. He also had shiny, glassy eyes when the rest of the girlfriends in the theater were holding to one and other in the tough, mushy and happy parts.

Wholesome, dreamy, and yes so wonderful to see/have Josh Duhamel all to myself in that enormous screen! The acting is great including that of little Sophie. As a parent you will totally relate and observe many small details and occurrences. I can't stop going back to the way Messer was holding little Sophie in a semi-sitting/ I am carrying a ball like position that actually look very comfortable for baby, but in a way that no parent would ever carry a baby. Sophie was taking her first steps in the movie, little does this couple know what that means!

Life does give us plenty of happiness and satisfactions in different ways. It also has its share of curve balls. Life as We Know It is just the movie to remind us of it!

I enjoyed the movie and loved how easy it was to watch despite the heavy background story line. Quite frankly after reading the description, it is at face value, a chick flick. This being said, it is a great movie to watch with your girlfriends AND men in your life. It is not sappy. As a matter of fact my neighbor moviegoer was a man who bursted with laughter at every comedic instance. There were many, and very well played out. He also had shiny, glassy eyes when the rest of the girlfriends in the theater were holding to one and other in the tough, mushy and happy parts.

After I saw the movie, all I could think of was what could await the godparents of my little one. They are wonderful people and were chosen because of our strong bonds, special love and lifelong ties. They are also parents, and truth be told raising someone Else's kid must not be an easy feat at all.
The emotions of gratitude ans swelling love towards them for having accepted such a task knowingly just puts the world into a beautiful sunshine filled place for me!

It was a perfect movie with the right turns at the right points that surprised me at instances when it didn't go as I had imagined (except for the ending).
The music was beautiful and I love how Holly is a successful entrepreneur that balances her life without ever becoming the typical arrogant achiever some can become. Wholesome, dreamy, and yes so wonderful to see/have Josh Duhamel all to myself in that enormous screen! The acting is great including that of little Sophie. As a parent you will totally relate and observe many small details and occurrences. I can't stop going back to the way Messer was holding little Sophie in a semi-sitting/ I am carrying a ball like position that actually look very comfortable for baby, but in a way that no parent would ever carry a baby.

As you can infer, Life as We Know It is definitively a feel good movie that delivers laughter, and although hopefully not a reality for those of us with kids who want to see them grow old, a great topic to keep in mind.

Go watch it with your best friend and fortify further your friendship as you share a laugh and enjoy a very good movie.

“Behind the Seams” a fabulous event created and hosted by T. J. Maxx and Style expert Alison Deyette reconfirmed what we already told you about Marshalls/ T. J. Maxx. Points to always remember:

• What we find at Marshalls/ T.J. Maxx contrary to popular belief are in-season items, exactly the same ones you will find at your department store. This includes food items, they are recent arrivals too!

So for our must haves, including designer items up to 60% off, we set out on the T.J. Maxx challenge: finding a celebs outfit. We loved the idea of dressing up and stealing someone’s style shopping at our local T.J. Maxx (and most likely at a very reduced price compared to what a celebrity most likely would spend on their wardrobe).

Thinking about fashionable cool moms, who better than Sarah Jessica Parker? Well, here is what we achieved inspired by her look: the perfect clothes to look great and be comfortable, THE combination for any cool mom.

Here is what we found at T.J. Maxx: not one, but several black long sleeve blouses to choose from (Ralph Lauren or August silk blouse for $19.99 each). The Jones scarf, the jeans (the ones depicted here are Michel Kors at $39.99-The T J.. Maxx ticket said compare at $80 but the original tag was for $99.50). The jeans section is endless, there are tons of styles and brands at T.J.Maxx. For the shoes, we chose converse with a hint of pink in honor of breast cancer awareness in October, but show you a Coach alternative ($59.99 vs $88.00 you would pay at the department store). As for the purse, they did have a black and straw one that matched perfectly the original picture of the celebrity, but Alysson Dyyette pointed out that animal print was just right for this fall, so we went for the one that had some cowhide on it. The leather on this Italian bag is so supple and soft, it is just perfect!
The grand total for this outfit was $195. 87 with out taxes and including the big black sunglasses. Not bad at all!

OK, the truth is that plenty of South Florida Moms do have the J.Lo or Jessica Simpson look, so we decided to try and match their styles too.

Rattle On and Boogy On! New Band To Release Amazing Music for Kids.

The Rattles come straight from the swamps of Central New Jersey. Safety Saturday and Build to Grow Free Events at Lowe's!

Looking for something to do during the weekends with your children? Well if your child is in grades 2 – 5 then here is something that you might want to consider.

We love the idea, and are happy to spread the word about Safety Saturday and Build to Grow workshops by Lowes.

FREE: Lowes is hosting a “Safety Saturday” on September 25th. This event will be held in every store throughout Canada, the US and Mexico. It will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the parking lots of Lowes in all of North America. The aim of the event is to educate parents and children on the importance of safety. The Safety Fair will be a valuable resource for families as it will give home safety ideas and project starters to help you rid yourself of hidden dangers that might exist at home.

Everyone will have a chance to ask questions, get advice, suggestions and information on how to keep families safe from fires and other home issues. Local experts will be on hand to impart guidance and answers.

Additionally, at 10:00 am, every store in the United States and Canada will be offering a Build and Grow workshop that not only will address home safety but also will allow children to build a wooden fire truck to take home. We have been fortunate to explore, build and play with the fire truck. It is pretty easy to put together thanks to the clear bilingual instructions that came with the truck (by the way, great job on the translation, finally a document that is well done in Spanish!). The end result is a wonderful and wooden fire truck that has a great siren built in it!

Although we had fun putting it together, and it was a great activity for the family, we are going to register to get the full feeling and complete instruction that comes with the workshop and the events. We don’t want to miss a thing!

Back-To-School! I must admit, I our little one is back and half of the supplies are yet to be purchased. Some waiting for a sale, and some because I am weary of purchasing products that do not stand to their promises and in the long run make me spend more money than I want in school supplies.

We must confess this product sat on our kitchen and in the back of our office as we were not quite sure what the best way of testing it would be. Then, we experimented a bit. The result is that I love the versatility of the Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil from Tropical Traditions.
We tried several different recipes: Pancakes, smoothies, pizza, and granola. It truly pleases more than one of your senses as you discover this versatile oil. To begin, it smells like coconut, as you would expect, but just enough not to take over and make you dizzy which in turn is perfect for cooking as the coconut flavor does not shine through in the recipes. Hence, you can easily replace your regular vegetable oil in cooking and baking for the coconut oil. It does; however, enhance the sweet flavors of sugary formulas you prepare.

I have a mixed skin so I am a bit weary of using it on my face, but I can tell you that it soothes my chapped lips and rough elbows very effectively! Remember when you try it that after all it is oil, and will be greasy, so measure your dabs carefully! I really have to try their hair treatment LOL.

Cool Mom test results: This treatment has a light texture that is rich and fabulous to the touch. Absorption is quick but its effects are long-lasting. As it names indicates very quickly the coolness takes over. It does have a pleasant and slight hint of herbs mixed with menthol at first. Later the fragrance is more lavender, a natural ingredient known for its calming properties. Flash Relief really makes justice to its claim of being a cooling and calming cream. What we liked the most was that it did not make us wait to feel its effectiveness. We think you can also use this products to refresh yourself in a hot humid day too, why not? We will be trying it soon!

     Product: derma e® Tropical Solutions Facial Cleansing Gel
     Claim: Cleanses, revives and invigorates.
     Usage: On damp face and neck. Needs to be rinsed.

Cool Mom test results: The fragrance of the cleanser is fantastic, despite being the same pineapple-papaya combination we were not so fond of for the moisturizer which belongs to the same family. Although no foam is present during the cleansing moment, it is almost refreshing to use. Like a re-birth of the skin. The skin is smooth and powdery soft to the touch and it feels very comfortable which surprised us because we were expecting a taught feeling from a thick gel. All skin types used and agreed on this last point.

We told you on our previous post on derma e® that they are easy on our budget while providing noticeable results. To view our full review click here.

This time we will be talking about 3 more products tested by Cool Moms. We are focusing on moisturizers to give you and idea on how these products cater to different needs and skin types. Here they are:

     Product: derma e® Tropical Solutions Intensive Serum.
     Claim: Deeply nourishes skin
     Usage: To be used morning and night on a clean skin.

Cool Mom test results: Tropical fragrance is too strong. Too pineapple for this groups’ taste. The serum feels sticky as soon as it is applied on the skin, but quickly it is absorbed and the sticky feeling is replaced by comfort and there is a tingling sensation (very light sensation) that tells you the serum is working. As time progresses, the skin feels softer and softer, and this is with the first use!

If you need a treatment for your skin, this will definitively supply the solution you seek as in combination with your moisturizer you will find in a week’s time that your skin becomes smoother, and you definitively will feel that you have provided your face with something extremely healthy (that is how we describe the nourishment feeling).

Although this serum is recommended for oily skin, the normal skins in the group felt comfortable as they used this product.

     Product: derma e® Age-Defying Night Creme.
     Claim: Deep moisture that reduces appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
     Usage: To be used at night after cleansing and toning skin

Cool Mom test results: It seems this crème reduced puffiness in some skins. It is definitively rich and comforting to the skin. Fast to absorb it’s smells reminded testers of a spa. Thanks to its renewing properties, the mom panel started to see a slight reduction of wrinkles. These pertained to fine lines. Also, there was a generalized improvement to skin texture and soupleness to the skin. A few testers claim to have started experiencing some renewal firmness. We are very curious to see the results at the end of week 3. Drawing conclusions, we can easily wind up by saying that this cream addresses all the basic concerns of mature skins, don’t you agree?

     Product: derma e® DMAE Alpha Lipoic C-Ester Creme.
     Claim: Tightens, tones and hydrates the skin
     Usage: To be used morning and night on a clean skin

Cool Mom test results: Without being experts on the derma e® line, we are inclined to say that this cream complements the night cream perfectly. It is a very light and powerful cream. So light it can pass for a lotion. After absobtion you are left with a silky smooth sensation that gives way to perfectly moisturized skin that is comfortable. We noted it’s smell is a bit pharmaceutical and serious. Before going forth a few words on of the components in its name:
-DMAE: helps reduce facial sag and firms the skin
-Alpha Lipoic Acid: an antioxidant
-Ester –C: stimulates the production of collagen (needed for skin tone and elasticity).
The combination of all three ingredients is done to obtain maximum results of each of their independent actions.

After a few days of use, our mom testers begun to indicate they were discovering a new plumpness in their face which we translated into regained elasticity. A week into the testing, some participants observed firmer skin. With plump, firmer and more elastic skin came along filling of wrinkles not only in the face, but also in the neck. That is powerful and welcomed!

Being the main ingredient, and the name of the product, we though it would be important to share that this ingredient is a powerful antioxidant extracted from pine bark which can also be found in some dietary supplements. When we hear antioxidants, joyful anti-aging bells start ringing, and the ringing is happier and louder when we know it is a natural ingredient, that just does it!

The scent of the product is so light that you can barely smell it. The texture is luscious and it almost feels good to eat. This product was wonderful on the sensitive skins in our mom testing group, and all reported no negative after effects from using the cream. Normal to dry skins benefit the most from this moisturizer which is not greasy of leaves no icky impression on the skin. The immediate feeling is of complete comfort and smooth finish.
