T.J. Maxx and Marshalls Make it Easy and Affordable to Steal Her Style!

“Behind the Seams” a fabulous event created and hosted by T. J. Maxx and Style expert Alison Deyette reconfirmed what we already told you about Marshalls/ T. J. Maxx. Points to always remember:
• Buyers are out in full forcer 40 weeks out of the year translation: lots of gr8 deals 4 us!
• What we find at Marshalls/ T.J. Maxx contrary to popular belief are in-season items, exactly the same ones you will find at your department store. This includes food items, they are recent arrivals too!
• Truckloads of new items arrive every week, there is never a dull moment at these stores!!!

So for our must haves, including designer items up to 60% off, we set out on the T.J. Maxx challenge: finding a celebs outfit. We loved the idea of dressing up and stealing someone’s style shopping at our local T.J. Maxx (and most likely at a very reduced price compared to what a celebrity most likely would spend on their wardrobe).

Thinking about fashionable cool moms, who better than Sarah Jessica Parker? Well, here is what we achieved inspired by her look: the perfect clothes to look great and be comfortable, THE combination for any cool mom.
Converse or Coach? what do you prefer for this look?

Here is what we found at T.J. Maxx: not one, but several black long sleeve blouses to choose from (Ralph Lauren or August silk blouse for $19.99 each). The Jones scarf, the jeans (the ones depicted here are Michel Kors at $39.99-The T J.. Maxx ticket said compare at $80 but the original tag was for $99.50). The jeans section is endless, there are tons of styles and brands at T.J.Maxx. For the shoes, we chose converse with a hint of pink in honor of breast cancer awareness in October, but show you a Coach alternative ($59.99 vs $88.00 you would pay at the department store). As for the purse, they did have a black and straw one that matched perfectly the original picture of the celebrity, but Alysson Dyyette pointed out that animal print was just right for this fall, so we went for the one that had some cowhide on it. The leather on this Italian bag is so supple and soft, it is just perfect!
The grand total for this outfit was $195. 87 with out taxes and including the big black sunglasses. Not bad at all!

OK, the truth is that plenty of South Florida Moms do have the J.Lo or Jessica Simpson look, so we decided to try and match their styles too.
see the shoes too! we were excited to find clogs.
As you can see above we did manage to get the look and the style with Lucky brand jeans, and a reversible vest - the part that you don’t see is a luxurious micro suede in a petroleum blue color. The price of this look at T.J. Maxx, which includes the bangles, the earrings and a tank top? $156.95
More shoe options here too: pointy like she is wearing or fun open toe.

For fun we added in a sleek Katie Holmes look which we assembled for   $ 80.98. The blouse was on clearance for $7.00 but the alternative was a Viviane Tam top for sale for $20.00 versus the $68.00 marked on the original tag.

All three looks took us less than an hour to put together. It is sooo easy to be a Maxxinista. Regardless of your style, the result will be great in-season fashion at fantastic prizes that will take you on pleasurable hunts for awesome outfits that go easy on your budget. Remember not only your style, but that of the entire family’s as well!
